AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT AREA CHILDREN

Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills and Sierra Adoption Services Unite To Help Local Children

Sacramento, California - Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills, winner of the prestigious “Best of the Best” award from Mercedes-Benz USA, has joined forces with Sierra Adoption Services, named “Nonprofit of the Year” by the Nonprofit Resource Center in Sacramento, for an evening to benefit local children. “Best of the Best”, a food and wine gala, will be held from 7-10pm on Saturday, September 24 at Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills.

The dealership's Tuscan-themed architecture and extraordinary design create the perfect environment for “Best of the Best” – lending an understated and elegant atmosphere to highlight participating wineries and restaurants. “I have always been a strong advocate of community giving and therefore designed Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills not only as a dealership but also as a venue to hold events. We are especially pleased to be able to open our doors to host ‘Best of the Best' for such a worthwhile organization as Sierra Adoption Agency,” said George Grinzewitsch, Jr., owner of Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills.

Sierra Adoption Services was founded in 1980 with the mission of finding permanent, loving homes for children suffering from abuse, neglect and abandonment. Because of their unfortunate circumstances, these children are much harder to place than those in traditional adoption agencies. “Uniting with Mercedes-Benz of El Dorado Hills for this unique event is a wonderful way to bring attention to our special children. We are grateful and excited about this opportunity,” said Gail Johnson, Executive Director of Sierra Adoption Services.

Besides the best in food and wine from over forty different restaurants and wineries, “Best of the Best” will also feature the unveiling of the new 2006 Mercedes-Benz ‘R' Class Grand Sports Tourer. This forward-thinking crossover vehicle combines the versatility of an all-weather sport utility, the performance of a fine sports sedan and stylish comfort of a luxury wagon, providing seating for 6 adults. As guests view this one-of-a-kind vehicle, they will enjoy classical music as well as songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's by the cover band “Notorious”.
